At VIP Ontario Tours & Transportation, we have you covered by protecting your booking and your personal safety while travel with us.

Plan with Peace of Mind

When you book a tour there’s a lot to think about. But with the right advice and expert planning, you can do it with confidence.

Book your future travel with us by August 1, 2021 for travels through December 2022 and if your plans are impacted by a COVID related restriction, we’ll change your reservation or cancel your booking for a full credit towards future travel. Simple.

COVID-19-related reasons include:

  • The Province of Ontario issues a restricted travel order impacting tour operators
  • The Province of Ontario issues a province-wide stay at home order
  • The Federal Government of Canada issues a Do Not Travel Advisory due to COVID-19, or the government of the guest’s country of residence issues a comparable advisory or restriction that impact the guest’s ability to take the tour. This includes closing of borders or extended quarantine requirements.
  • International flights are cancelled due to COVID-19, without alternative routing available for guest to use to reach the destination(s) in the itinerary

 

Pre-Tour & On Tour Protocols

 

Meet & Greet Services

Our Meet & Greet Service modifications are designed to limit direct contact between individuals and belongings while still providing a superior level of attention to which our clients have become accustom. Specifically, our clients will experience:

  • White Glove Service
  • Text to Greeter Service prior to arrival, upon arrival, and throughout the trip to destination to facilitate effortless communication and limited person-to-person contact
  • In-vehicle tablet will be available for guest use and sanitized after each trip
  • Guest will place their luggage on cart for greeter to push to vehicle
  • Guest will have the option to assist with putting their luggage in the rear of the vehicle
  • Driver will open vehicle door for guest upon entry and exit
  • We offer a Mobile App with GPS tracking to hotel
  • In the meantime, all magazines will be placed in the vehicle sealed. Once opened by a guest, they will be disposed of at the end of the trip
  • A portable UV sanitizer will be placed in vehicles for guests to sanitize smaller items such as cell phones, earbuds, etc.

Vehicle Sanitation

Each of our vehicles will undergo a daily sanitation process that utilizes hospital-grade disinfectants as well as innovative technologies to ensure the cleanliness of all surfaces. Specifically, the following measures are in place:

  • Personnel will wear full protective gear when cleaning vehicles
  • We log each employee’s contact with each vehicle, noting dates, times, and products used
  • Each vehicle will be hand detailed nightly and cleaned using best practices and government-approved disinfectants as well as UV light systems
  • We even sanitize all vehicle keys

In-Car/SUV Amenities

Our fleet of luxury vehicles have been retrofitted to protect the health of our guests while maintaining the comfort and convenience associated with our transportation services. Specifically, the vehicle safety protocols we have implemented include:

  • Plexiglass shields between driver and passengers
  • Each vehicle contains mini hand sanitizer for individual use (guest keeps or thrown out after guest departs)
  • Available gloves for passengers
  • Amenities (i.e. water and snacks) will be placed in a personal bag for the guest. Guest is to take this with them or driver will dispose of
  • Handheld electrostatic sprayers with hospital-grade disinfectant will be used to sanitize surfaces after each guest departs. In addition, the driver will have Lysol Wipes to clean the interior of the vehicle after guest has left. Areas for cleaning include seats, windows, controls, and door handles
  • Driver will wear a fresh set of gloves throughout the transport

Sprinters, Passenger Bus, Coach Vehicles

Our fleet of sprinters and buses have also been retrofitted to protect the health of our guests while maintaining the comfort and convenience associated with our tours. Specifically, the safety protocols we have implemented include:

  • Plexiglass shield between driver and passengers in busses
  • Buses have hand sanitizer mounted inside the door for all passengers to use prior to entering vehicle
  • Guests are required to wear facemasks at all times when in the bus. If they do not have a facemask, then one will be provided to them
  • Prior to boarding all guests will be temperature checked. Driver has the right to refuse a symptomatic guest
  • Air purifiers are in all buses to bring in fresh air and not use recycled air
  • Seating will be pre-assigned grouping family members when appropriate
  • When a bus is on charter, the client must provide a full passenger manifest prior to trip commencing
  • All buses will have handheld electrostatic sprayers with hospital-grade disinfectant to sanitize surfaces after each trip along with a handheld UV light

Tour Procedures

  • Shared tour bookings will be made online via our site and guests/concierge must preassign seat prior to departure
  • Two seats will be reserved for the guide at the front of the bus. Guide will remain in the seats during passenger onboarding
  • Computer monitors will be placed in all vehicles to assist with guiding and information. The monitors will also display the guide/drivers phone number for them to text any questions or to call. We also have a live chat on our website 24/7 that is connected to the dispatcher on duty
  • Prior to boarding all guests will be temperature checked. Driver has the right to refuse a symptomatic guest
  • Guide will utilize a wireless microphone system to communicate with guests while inside or outside the vehicle in order to maintain safe distances. Guests have the option to listen through headphones on their smart phone. They will have the option to ask further questions or comment electronically
